Paint the Town Red!

On a chilly Monday night in New York City, Noah and I hopped on the gritty 'R' train and headed to the Avenue of the Americas Art Gallery to join my parents, aunt and younger sister, Isabel in the opening reception of 'Artists' Eyes.' You see, Isabel was a featured artist with 2 pieces proudly on display.

The gallery quickly filled with young artists and proud parents as we stalked the gallery walls searching for Isabel's masterpieces. Her collaboration with a friend and fellow artist, Kyle of an India ink painting featuring moths in a forest was stunning and her solo black and white still life piece inspired by flowers was absolutely amazing!

Our night wouldn't be complete without a celebration. So after the show we decided to be tourists in our own city and headed to nearby Times Square! I haven't been there at night in soooo long and my son doesn't remember going at all so this was an extra special celebration! The fast walking natives VS the camera wielding tourist. I love it! The smoke stacks, the traffic, the lights, the sheep?! Yes, even sheep were in Times Square, we've got everything! There is no place like home! Hope you enjoy the photos!

I couldn't be a prouder big sister if I tried! Congratulations Isabel, on a successful gallery showing!

My Favorite piece in the show!
