Tearing up Behind the Camera
I couldn't have asked for a better more perfect day to photograph my very first event. Gabby had dubbed me the "Family Photographer" a title I am proud to wear!
A little back story she & Jason gave me a call shortly after asking me to do their Newborn portraits telling me they wanted me to photograph their sons Bris. Whoa, this is big! This is such an important event in this new family's life and I wasn't sure I could do it but they had faith in me.
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful with heart felt words from JJs Aunt Stefie and a Mohel who spoke with such grace, I couldn't help but tear up behind the camera. Glasses fogging and all. We not only celebrated JJs Bris but Jason's birthday which was the day before. So much to be thankful for and I am honored to be a part of it!

All Around Adorable
I met Gabby & Jason back in February to do their Baby Bump portraits and I liked them so much that I wanted to do their Newbie portraits as well. So I hoped & I wished that I'd get that phone call when little J.J. arrived. Sure enough I did and I was ecstatic! He has the sweetest smile, a perfect nose, big feet and is all around adorable. Gabby & Jason, you guys have really out done yourselves with this little miracle.
This was my second newborn portrait session and I was pulling out all the stops. I got this most beautiful cocoon (a.k.a. photography prop) from Sugar & Spice Crochet. To die for! Got a nice black backdrop for J.J. to lay on and I was set.
I got to the house where I requested that they turn the heat up as high as they could withstand. I thought I was prepared for it but 78 degrees was whooping my butt! J.J. was comfortable and that was all that mattered. The images came out so beautiful because of it. He was quiet and calm with mommy, awake and alert with daddy...this is how he rolls! I got the privilege to capture the most tender and intimate moments of this new family, thank you for letting me document these memories. I LOVE what I do!
PS: The 78 degree heat was so worth it! =)

Flawless Vintage
I'd been planning this photo shoot for months & I chose the first weekend in April to get 'er done, thinking I'd have a perfect, bright sun shiny day to work with. Unfortunately it was freezing, over cast and a bit drizzly. I wasn't going to have my models (who's hair was impeccably perfect) to go out in this weather. Overcast I can work with but drizzly conditions NO WAY! So our outdoors location was scrapped! Luckily we bunkered down in my Aunts 'just out of a magazine' bedroom! Snazzy huh? One of my Aunts fur-babies wanted desperately to be my fourth model, who am I to deny my feline friends wish? So Phoebe made her modeling debut. Just another day with Lisette Torres | Photography.

PS: Introducing one of my newest "Fresh" faces, Erin G. (middle) It was a pleasure working with you!
